Application

In the morning and evening, apply to the face, neck and décolletage and gently massage in after cleansing with DOCTOR BABOR Soothing Cream Cleanser, preferably after DOCTOR BABOR Itch Relief Serum or DOCTOR BABOR Instant Soothing Ampoule Serum Concentrate.
Recommended as a complementary therapy for atopic dermatitis on the face and body during the symptom-free phase.

Main active ingredients

The 7.6% Neuroxyl Calming Complex is composed of highly concentrated active ingredients: soothing plant extracts, moisturising agents and microsilver.
Neuroxyl contains an aqueous extract of Achillea millefolium, known as yarrow. This extract promotes skin regeneration by improving cell communication. Especially in sensitive or very dry skin, there may be an imbalance between neuromediators and their corresponding receptors, which can lead to pronounced redness. Neuroxyl can restore this balance for a stronger and more even complexion. It promotes the regeneration of the skin's protective barrier and reduces irritation. Known to increase skin thickness and thus minimise visible veins, Neuroxyl also has the potential to reduce redness and itching.
Silver has been known for centuries for its antimicrobial effect. This is due to soluble silver ions, which block irritating enzymes and act on harmful bacteria. The microsilver used is a highly pure silver which, thanks to its special surface structure, can release silver ions over a longer period of time (depot effect) and thus comprehensively balances the microbiome. Itching and redness of the skin can be alleviated and the skin soothed. The antibacterial effect is particularly helpful for skin prone to acne.
Sweet chestnut (Castanea sativa), known for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, is used not only in medicine but also in natural medicine. The extract is sustainably obtained from certified organic leaves and is rich in flavonoids (miquelianin and astragalin). It has an antioxidant effect, reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and helps to restore the protective barrier for skin that is both soothed and strengthened, with reduced redness.
Evening primrose oil contains a high proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids such as gamma-linolenic acid, which can supply the skin with moisture and improve its moisture content. Its lipids help to strengthen the natural lipid barrier and improve its protective function. This also helps to counteract moisture loss and protect the skin from external irritants.

Secondary active ingredients

Allantoin is an all-rounder in skincare and the result of natural metabolic processes; it can also be produced synthetically. This versatile active ingredient provides moisture, making the skin supple and helping to strengthen the skin barrier. Its soothing properties help to alleviate skin irritation, redness and slight itching. Thanks to its mild keratolytic property, allantoin helps to remove dead skin cells and improve skin texture for a smoother, more even complexion.
Panthenol is a natural moisturising agent that provides the skin with intensive hydration by attracting moisture and storing it in the skin, thus building an ideal basis for skin regeneration. It also strengthens the skin's natural protective barrier and effectively reduces itching and skin irritation caused by external factors.
In addition, BIOGEN PLANT EXTRACT, together with vitamin E, protects the skin from harmful environmental influences. This exquisite plant extract, researched and continuously improved for six decades, is a masterpiece of modern cosmetic research.
