Application

Apply to the skin and eye area in the morning and evening with moistened fingers; cleanse the skin in circular motions, then rinse thoroughly with water. Next, apply DOCTOR BABOR Itch Relief Serum or DOCTOR BABOR Soothing Ampoule Serum Concentrate to the face, neck and décolleté. Lightly massage into the skin. As a finishing treatment, use either DOCTOR BABOR Soothing Cream or DOCTOR BABOR Instant Relief Lotion.

Main active ingredients

The 2.8% Neuroxyl Calming Complex packs a punch with the highly concentrated power of neuroxyl, microsilver, evening primrose oil and panthenol.
Neuroxyl contains an aqueous extract of Achillea millefolium, known as yarrow. This extract promotes skin regeneration by improving cell communication. Sensitive or very dry skin in particular is prone to an imbalance between neuromediators and their corresponding receptors, which can lead to distinct redness. Neuroxyl can restore this balance for a strengthened, more even complexion. Regeneration of the skin barrier is promoted and irritation is alleviated. Known for increasing skin thickness and thereby minimizing visible broken capillaries, neuroxyl also has the potential to reduce redness and itching.
For centuries, silver has been known for its antimicrobial effect. This can be traced back to soluble silver ions, which block irritant enzymes and stop damaging bacteria in their tracks. The microsilver used is a high-purity silver that, thanks to its special surface structure, can release silver ions over a longer period of time, restoring the balance of the microbiome. Itching and redness are alleviated and the skin is soothed. The antibacterial effect is especially helpful for acne-prone skin or skin with a damaged barrier.
Evening primrose oil contains a high proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids such as gamma-linolenic acid, which hydrate the skin and can improve its moisture levels. With its anti-inflammatory properties, evening primrose oil can alleviate redness and mild skin irritation. The lipids in evening primrose oil help strengthen the natural lipid barrier and improve its protective function. This also helps counteract moisture loss and protect the skin from external irritants.

Secondary active ingredients

As a natural humectant, panthenol provides intense hydration by collecting moisture stored in the skin, establishing the ideal foundation for skin regeneration. It also strengthens the skin’s natural protective barrier and effectively reduces itching and skin irritation caused by external influences.
