Application

Apply morning and evening after cleansing to the face, neck and décolleté, preferably after the DOCTOR BABOR Itch Relief Serum or DOCTOR BABOR Instant Soothing Ampoule Serum Concentrate. Lightly massage into the skin.
When using the lotion over a longer period of time, especially on combination skin prone to pimples, regularly use a gentle AHA peeling to prevent blemishes.

Main active ingredients

The 9.2% Neuroxyl Calming Complex packs a punch with the highly concentrated power of soothing plant extracts, skin-identical ceramides and microsilver.
Neuroxyl contains an aqueous extract of Achillea millefolium, known as yarrow. This extract promotes skin regeneration by improving cell communication. Sensitive or very dry skin in particular is prone to an imbalance between neuromediators and the corresponding receptors, which can lead to distinctive redness. Neuroxyl can restore this balance for a strengthened, more even complexion. Regeneration of the skin barrier is promoted and irritation is alleviated. Known for increasing skin thickness and thereby minimizing visible broken capillaries, Neuroxyl also has the potential to reduce redness and itching.
For centuries, silver has been known for its antimicrobial effect. This can be traced back to soluble silver ions, which block irritant enzymes and stop damaging bacteria in their tracks. The microsilver used is a high-purity silver that can release silver ions over a longer period of time thanks to its special surface structure, restoring the microbiome’s balance. Itching and redness are alleviated and the skin is soothed. The antibacterial effect especially helps acne-prone skin.
Ceramides are a natural component of the skin. The amount of ceramides in the skin decreases over time, weakening the skin barrier and making the skin more susceptible to external sources of irritation. Besides three types of ceramide (NP, EOP, AP), the skin-identical ceramide active ingredient also contains plant-based cholesterol, free fatty acids and phytosphingosine to extensively restore an intact skin barrier. Thanks to the unique combination and embedding in a multilamellar formula similar to the structure of the epidermis’ lipid barrier, the active ingredient can be better absorbed by the skin. Ceramide EOP, also known as ceramide 1, is an essential component of the skin barrier and plays a key role in maintaining skin moisture and the skin’s protective function. Ceramide NP supports the regeneration of the skin’s natural protective mantle and forms an effective barrier against moisture loss. Ceramide AP reinforces the skin barrier, improves the moisture balance and makes the skin more supple. Overall, the active ingredient improves skin regeneration, moisture levels and skin texture, and strengthens the protective barrier for more even skin.
Known for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, sweet chestnut (Castanea sativa) is used in both medicine and Ayurvedic teachings. The extract is sustainably obtained from organic-certified leaves and is rich in flavonoids (miquelianin and astragalin). Thanks to its slight keratolytic effect, allantoin helps remove dead skin cells and improve the skin structure for a smoother, more even complexion.
As a natural humectant, panthenol provides intense hydration by collecting moisture stored in the skin and establishing the ideal foundation for skin regeneration. In addition, it strengthens the skin’s natural protective barrier and effectively reduces itching and skin irritation caused by external influences.
