Application

Apply morning and evening after cleansing to the skin around the eyes, ideally after DOCTOR BABOR Hydro Filler Serum or 10D Hyaluronic Acid Ampoule Serum Concentrate. Press in with circular motions, then gently pat in with your fingertips. Leave to absorb.

Main active ingredients

The ideally coordinated combination of low- to high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acids covers a broad size spectrum, creating an intensive, immediate and long-lasting moisturizing effect and strengthening the skin's own hydration mechanisms. Very low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid penetrates deep into the skin and promotes moisture absorption and binding at different levels of the epidermis, improving skin elasticity and firmness. Medium- and high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acids provide immediate hydration of the epidermis and form a moisturizing film on the skin's surface. This makes the skin look instantly plumper and protects it from moisture loss through evaporation and other osmotic processes. Moisture is stored in the skin long-term, transepidermal water loss (TEWL) is reduced, and the skin's moisture balance is sustainably optimized.
The polyglutamic acid (0.5%), also known as PGA, is a natural polymer obtained by fermenting soybeans in a biotechnological process. It is distinguished by its exceptional moisturizing effect in the skin. Polyglutamic acid forms a protective film on the skin's surface to minimize moisture loss and increase the skin's ability to store moisture (depot effect). Thanks to these water-binding properties, PGA, as shown in scientific studies, can store up to four times more moisture than hyaluronic acid. This makes the skin look instantly smoother and more elastic. PGA can also inhibit the activity of hyaluronidase, the enzyme that breaks down the skin's natural hyaluronic acid, thus stabilizing and increasing the hyaluronic acid content in the skin. Together, the two active ingredients therefore have a synergistic moisturizing effect. In addition, PGA stimulates the skin's Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF) and increases their production to improve the skin's own hyaluronic acid synthesis. A dry eye area is thus cared for intensively yet lightly, with a double moisturizing effect.
With age and under the influence of harmful environmental factors, the skin loses its ability to synthesize hyaluronic acid on its own. To counteract this process, which can begin as early as the age of twenty, the powerful peptide stimulates the skin's own synthesis of hyaluronan in the extracellular matrix to increase tissue firmness. It also boosts the production of essential proteins that strengthen collagen fibers, resulting in visibly firmer, plumper and more contoured skin.
Sustainably harvested from the Portuguese coast, green algae optimize the skin's radiance with targeted action on the eye contour: the green algae extract helps against bags under the eyes and dark circles by stimulating microcirculation and lymph flow and activating cellular metabolism as well as the skin's natural detoxification processes. 3D xylitol derivative, a multifunctional humectant made from natural sugar compounds, acts as a protective shield against dehydration: its mechanism of action stimulates the formation of the body's natural aquaporins (membrane proteins). This process sustainably optimizes water circulation and moisture distribution in the skin and maintains the optimum water content inside the cell. The derivative also stimulates the synthesis of essential lipids (ceramides) and hyaluronic acid, which reinforces the skin's protective barrier and improves its ability to retain moisture.
