Application

In the morning and/or evening after cleansing, ideally with the DOCTOR BABOR Barrier Balance Lotion Cleanser, spread over the face, neck and décolleté until the skin feels well moisturized. Allow to absorb, then ideally apply DOCTOR BABOR The Cure Cream or your regular skincare products.

Main active ingredients

Beta-glucan is a naturally occurring polysaccharide capable of binding large amounts of moisture. It forms a moisturizing film that binds water in the skin, hydrating it and keeping it supple. In addition, it reduces redness and promotes the skin’s natural ability to regenerate by stimulating collagen and elastin production. The result is a more even complexion.
Capryloyl glycine, a biomimetic cleansing active ingredient containing moisturizing plant-based sugars, helps prevent microbes from multiplying on the skin and helps stressed skin restore its natural acidic pH value. It is known for restoring the balance of the skin flora, reducing irritation and sustainably improving the skin’s protection. Capryloyl glycine also controls excessive sebum production, ensuring a clear complexion.

The other hyperfermented plants (3%), myrtle and mastic (also known as Atlas pistachio), are typical of Mediterranean vegetation and of parts of the Italian island of Sardinia, which is known for its remarkable biodiversity. Studies have shown that these hyperfermented plants boost the skin’s defenses, positively regulate the skin microbiome, promote skin moisture and improve the hydrolipidic layer. They also promote skin-firming processes that improve the bond between the epidermis and the dermis. At the same time, they positively influence the synthesis of collagen Type 1 and Type 3, which play a vital role in regenerating particularly stressed skin.
As a natural humectant, panthenol provides intense hydration by collecting moisture stored in the skin, enabling the skin to hydrate itself from within. In addition, panthenol strengthens the skin’s natural protective barrier, thereby helping to prevent moisture loss. As a protective agent, panthenol effectively reduces itching and skin irritation caused by external influences.

Glutathione, also referred to as L-glutathione, is an antioxidant that occurs naturally in our body and plays a key role in neutralizing free radicals. Glutathione levels in the body decline with age, which has a negative impact on the body’s built-in regeneration processes. Glutathione protects the skin against oxidative stress and, in doing so, not only helps protect the skin from premature aging but also reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Moreover, glutathione can help improve the look and feel of hyperpigmentation by regulating melanin production, thereby promoting an even skin texture.
