Application

Apply locally to pimples, preferably in the evening after cleansing your face, and allow to absorb. Once the gel has absorbed, you can apply a matching care product, such as the DOCTOR BABOR Clarifying Complexion Perfecting Serum, followed by the DOCTOR BABOR Blemish Correcting Cream as a finishing treatment. Due to the high concentration of active ingredients, we recommend using it as a spot treatment only and not applying the product over a large area.

Main active ingredients

The 5.8% zinc ictasol succinic acid BHA complex, made up of zinc, sulfonated shale oil, succinic acid and salicylic acid, helps heal pimples faster thanks to the ingredients’ complementary effects.
With its natural antibacterial properties, zinc can help reduce redness and blemishes. It also helps regulate sebum production and can support skin regeneration. Its antioxidant properties protect the skin from harmful free radicals.
With its absorbing properties, sulfonated shale oil can draw excess oil and blemishes from the surface. It helps clear the pores and remove impurities from the skin. Thanks to its calming effect, it can also help minimize redness caused by blemishes.
Succinic acid acts as an antioxidant, promoting collagen and elastin production and therefore skin regeneration. Due to its chemical structure, succinic acid is the perfect moisturizer, also capable of soothing and revitalizing the skin for a more even complexion.
As a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA), deep-acting salicylic acid has a lipophilic molecular structure that makes it fat-soluble, enabling it to efficiently dissolve sebum and dead skin cells. With this unique mode of action, salicylic acid cleanses the pores thoroughly and prevents them from clogging, which reduces the appearance of blemishes such as blackheads and pimples. Salicylic acid also helps soothe irritated skin, reduce redness and swelling, and make skin impurities and hyperpigmentation go away faster.
